Chrysler was founded by Walter Chrysler on 6th June 1925 and today is one of the "Big Three" US car manufacturers alongside General Motors (Holden & Chevrolet) and Ford Motor Company.

The first Chrysler cars were introduced on 5th January 1924 at the New York Automobile Show one year before the Chrysler company was actually created. These cars, launched under the Maxwell Motors brand broke sales records selling 32,000 units in the first year. Its popularity was due to features that had never been offered in a medium-priced car before, including the new high-compression six-cylinder engine, carburetor air cleaner, four-wheel hydraulic brakes, replaceable oil filters and a seven-bearing crankshaft.

In 1926, Chrysler introduced the Chrysler 70, which was named for its ability to hit 70 miles per hour, and came with innovative rubber engine and spring mounts. In 1927, Chrysler had 4 models: Chrysler 50, 60, 70, and Imperial 80.
