Take complete control of your VAREX exhaust sound with the VAREX Smartbox Bluetooth Controller. This patent-pending control device lets you manually and automatically adjust your VAREX exhaust valve position in real time — directly from a smartphone app. Whether you want a quiet cruise on the highway or an aggressive open note when you put your foot down, the Smartbox gives you pinpoint control over how your exhaust sounds, when it sounds that way, and why.

The Smartbox connects to your smartphone via Bluetooth and communicates with your vehicle via an OBD-II wireless dongle, allowing it to read live RPM, throttle position, speed, and GPS location data — and automatically open or close your VAREX valve based on the rules you set. Everything is adjustable in 1% increments for ultimate precision.

What VAREX products is the Smartbox compatible with?
The Smartbox is compatible with VAREX mufflers and VAREX valve systems. It is not compatible with standard exhaust systems without a VAREX valve. If you're unsure whether your VAREX setup is compatible, call us on 1800 069 965.

What app do I need?
The VAREX Smartbox uses the VAREX Smartbox App, available for both iOS and Android devices. The connection between the Smartbox and your phone is via Bluetooth.

Does it require professional installation?
The Smartbox is designed to be straightforward to install using the included cable and OBD-II dongle. However if you're unsure about wiring into your VAREX system, we recommend having it fitted by a qualified auto electrician or exhaust technician.

What is the GPS geo mode?
Geo mode lets you set specific geographic zones using your phone's GPS. When your vehicle enters a zone, the Smartbox automatically adjusts your valve to the position you've pre-set for that zone — for example, quietly closed near home and fully open at a track or favourite road.

Can I still use my factory drive modes?
On select vehicles, factory drive modes can be retained with a compatible harness. Contact us to discuss whether your vehicle is supported.

What is the warranty on this product?
The VAREX Smartbox comes with a full manufacturer's warranty from the date of invoice. Your tax invoice is provided with your order.

We only ship our products Australia-wide, using several different carriers across the Country. We select the most suitable Carrier for your order and your area. Please understand that the customer doesn’t have the right to choose a Carrier unless it’s on their own freight account. All orders are provided with a tracking number and must be signed for when receiving goods.

I'll start by saying I do love this exhaust. Sounds great. Quality materials. True value for money. Simple(*) enough to put together too. What wasn't simple was the clamp joiner - connects new xforce to downpipe- what a PITA although absolutely no fault of Xforce, I just wasn't aware before I started the install. The cast Y pipe at the back was a surprise, again didn't expect it - it's unique. I did expect the drone at 1700 - 2000 rpm and I'm good with that as I didn't use the supplied mid muffler. The reason I'm giving 4/5 is the fact I had to take 4.5cm off the drivers side and 2cm off the passenger side to get the tips to look "right" and not stick out too far/look offset As I mentioned great price, also SUPER fast deliver.

Express postage was fast and it turned up packaged very well. The welds weren't as pretty as I would have expected although nothing wrong with them and still looks to be a high quality unit. Everything fit 100% exact, and once you fit all of the OEM heat shields and reinstall all the sensors ect it looks indistinguishable from the factory dpf filter. Hard to get a good photo fitted but I have included some anyway. Definately a better purchase than a straight replacement pipe or smashing out the internals of the factory dpf
